The Adobe Audition Only Custom Preset Configuration

The custom processing preset is a series of plugins that manipulate the audio to bring out the best sound possible. Several different audio plugin configurations can accomplish this. If you are an Adobe Audition user, the onboard plugins included with the software can handle the task. The Adobe Audition custom processing preset configuration usually consists of the following stock plugins: 

  • Parametric Equalizer (instance 1)
  • Dynamics
  • Parametric Equalizer (instance 2)
  • DeEsser
  • Tube Modeled Compressor

The plugins that come installed with Adobe Audition include everything necessary to sculpt a professional voice-over sound. In addition, the Adobe Audition DAW includes metering plugins and mastering tools to help you achieve the optimal loudness for your target platform. 

PROS: No additional cost to purchase 3rd party plugins to have the custom processing preset.

CONS: You don't have the precise control available using 3rd party plugins.
