Voice Capture Improvement Session

Identify what’s limiting your recording — and stabilize your capture.

Based on reviewing your recording, I believe the Voice Capture Improvement Session is the most effective next step for improving your audio.

This session focuses on the raw recording itself — how your voice, recording space, microphone placement, and gain structure interact to capture your sound.

When the capture is unstable, processing tools like EQ or compression end up compensating for problems instead of refining the voice.

The goal of this session is to identify the factors limiting your recording and walk step-by-step through how to correct them in a live one-on-one session with me, Lenny B.

What This Session Is

The Voice Capture Improvement Session is a live, one-on-one working session with me, Lenny B, conducted via video call.

The session lasts up to 60 minutes and focuses entirely on improving how your voice is being captured.

We begin with your raw, unprocessed recording and evaluate how your voice, recording environment, microphone placement, and signal chain are interacting.

From there, we identify the dominant factor affecting your sound and walk through the adjustments needed to stabilize your recording.

This is not a preset.
This is not generic advice.
This is not guesswork.

It’s a focused working session designed to correct the foundation of your recording.

You will also receive a video recording of the session afterward so you can revisit the guidance whenever needed.

What I Focus On

During the session we evaluate and correct the factors that most commonly limit voice recordings:

• How your voice interacts with your recording space
• Room reflections and tonal buildup
• Microphone placement and distance
• Gain staging and signal behavior
• Environmental noise
• Whether processing will refine the sound — or compensate for problems

We address the dominant factor first, because correcting the primary issue usually creates the largest improvement.

What You’ll Gain

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

• A clear understanding of what is limiting your recording
• Specific corrections tailored to your setup
• Guidance on proper gain staging and microphone technique
• A prioritized plan for stabilizing your capture
• Confidence in knowing exactly what needs to change

Some adjustments can be corrected immediately during the session — such as microphone placement, gain staging, or signal chain configuration.

Other improvements may require changes you implement afterward, such as modifying your recording space or adjusting acoustic treatment.

I can’t guarantee perfection in a single session.
What I can guarantee is clarity.

You’ll leave knowing exactly what needs to change and how to move forward.

Who This Session Is For

This session is designed for anyone recording with a microphone who wants their audio to meet professional standards.

It is especially helpful if your recordings:

• sound roomy or hollow
• lack clarity or presence
• contain noise that is difficult to remove
• feel inconsistent from take to take
• leave you unsure what to fix next

Improvement begins with stabilizing the capture itself.
