Technical Details & Compatibility

This page outlines the standard configuration, supported platforms, and special cases for Custom Processing Presets so expectations are clear before proceeding.

A Custom Processing Preset is defined by its processing framework and outcome — not by a fixed list of plugins in every scenario.

The Standard Configuration

Most presets are built using a proven core processing framework designed to deliver the tone, balance, and stability you heard in your demo example.

The Standard configuration typically includes:

Waves F6 Dynamic EQ
Waves Scheps Omni Channel

These tools form the core tone-shaping and dynamic control structure.

When necessary, light restoration tools (such as noise reduction, de-reverb, or de-click processing) may be added to support clarity — without changing the intended sound character.

As long as the core framework remains intact, the preset is considered a Standard configuration.

This is the most efficient, repeatable, and widely supported version of the Custom Processing Preset.

Plugin Requirements

Because a preset consists of plugin settings (not rendered audio), the required plugins must be installed and functioning properly inside your DAW.

Before proceeding, it’s strongly recommended that you:

• Download trial versions of the required plugins
• Confirm they load and run correctly in your DAW

The Standard configuration uses widely supported VST3-compatible plugins and works on both Mac and PC, provided your DAW supports them in real time.

If you are new to plugins or unsure how to confirm compatibility, simply ask — I can guide you before we move forward.

Alternative Configurations

In some cases, clients request:

• DAW stock plugins only
• UAD-only processing
• Platform-specific limitations
• Other custom configurations

These setups may require a modified processing structure or additional build time.

If your workflow requires something outside the Standard configuration, please contact me before proceeding so we can confirm feasibility and scope.

Not all platforms or plugin environments support the same flexibility.

Unsupported Platforms

Audacity is not supported due to inconsistent third-party plugin behavior and installation variability across systems.

Reliable performance and repeatable results cannot be guaranteed in that environment.

Recording Consistency

A Custom Processing Preset is built around the recording conditions demonstrated in your submitted raw sample.

For predictable results, consistency matters:

• Microphone and interface
• Recording level
• Mic placement and distance
• Room acoustics

Changes to these variables will alter how the preset responds.

The preset is designed to reproduce the refinement you heard in your demo when the recording setup remains consistent.

Included Revision

Each Custom Processing Preset (standard package) includes one revision within one year of delivery.

This revision exists as an insurance update if reasonable changes occur — such as:

• Studio relocation
• Added acoustic treatment
• Capture improvements

It is not intended to create an entirely new sound or rebuild the preset using a different processing philosophy.

Questions Before Proceeding?

If your setup, DAW, or plugin environment isn’t covered here, I'd be happy to discuss your situation so expectations are aligned on both sides. The best way to begin is to first submit a raw audio sample here.
