Step 2 — Schedule A Time

Once your payment is received, you'll receive an email with instructions on scheduling the session time that works for you. You'll also be sent some details on what to prepare before your appointment.

Step 3 — Upload Files

If you haven't already, you'll be prompted to send a sample audio file for us to use during the session. It may be a good idea to submit a few voice reads (excited, delicate, ultra-dynamic, etc.) so we can see how compression works on each.

Session Details —

The Compression for Voice Recordings Session is a live, one-on-one video call where I teach you about compression, how it works, and how to use it specifically on your voice. By the end of the 90-minute session, you'll know exactly how to use a compressor to control the dynamics of a voice recording.

During our time, we will examine compressor controls, compressor types, how each type is best used to control voice recordings, and the different approaches that are valuable when using compression for voice recordings. Then, we will work together to apply compression on your specific voice recordings to yield consistent, professional results.

Finally, you will receive a video copy of the session afterward so you can revisit everything we covered.
