San Diego musician and composer (and AVStudioPro.com founder) Lenny B has embarked on his first publishing deal for the holiday novelty song titled Ugly Sweater (by the fictitious band Mistletoe Conspiracy). This month, the song which has been at the forefront of the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" phenomenon, has been licensed by Sound & Light Animatronics, an animated plush company based in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. The 5 year deal gives the company worldwide license to use Ugly Sweater in their holiday themed plush toys, scheduled to be available in retail shops for the 2015 holiday season. The plush toys known as the "squeezers" play the Ugly Sweater song chorus when activated with a squeeze.
Sound & Light Animatronics has been bringing plush toys to life by adding the simple elements of sound and light to all their creations. The company boasts some of the most innovative and cutting edge animation mechanisms in the marketplace. Today, they are recognized as the leading children's entertainment design house in the industry - with sales offices, a 10,000 square foot showroom in Hong Kong, two design studios, and two assembly factories located in Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Nanjing.
Sound & Light Animatronics' products are sold throughout the world and can be found everywhere from mass retail chains to high-end department stores and boutiques.
The Ugly Sweater song is part of the Lennyb.com boutique music library and is available for stock audio licensing to be used in videos, podcasts, or other creative content.
